About
Fleur Kakasi is a Singapore-based Australian artist, architect, and interior designer specializing in bespoke illustrations for corporate clients. Her work seamlessly blends technical precision with expressive artistry, juxtaposing playful botanical themes with architectural detail. Fleur’s compositions are defined by practiced technical drawing skills, dynamic movement, and a sophisticated color palette, making her an ideal collaborator for high-end product design and commercial illustration projects.
With 20 years of experience as a practicing architect and interior designer, Fleur possesses a deep understanding of form, structure, and visual storytelling—insights that she now applies to illustration and design for businesses. Since relocating to Singapore, she has worked with local and international brands on commissioned artworks, product packaging, branding, and digital assets, delivering tailored solutions that align with each client’s vision.
Fleur partners with both established corporations and boutique brands, offering illustrations for luxury packaging, event collateral, marketing campaigns, and exclusive product collections. Her expertise in design and commercial aesthetics ensures that each project balances artistic creativity with strategic brand messaging, creating impactful visuals that resonate with target audiences.
Similarly, Fleur works with private clients on commissions, be it a house portrait, or custom stationery.
Inspired by her childhood in lush Queensland, and her time living in Singapore, her work takes reference from local botanics and vernacular architecture, whilst also leaning into related historical and cultural motifs.
Working in watercolour on paper, Fleur's works take on a botanical collage style, in both two and three dimensions. Pieces are collaged and layered with paper cuts, but also in two dimensions with watercolour layers allowing details to be concealed and revealed throughout.
Fleur's own label, FLEUR KAKASI, focuses on Art Textiles. Marrying colour, layered texture and beautiful design in textiles has always been a passion, but it is now a reality for others to share - short run textile offerings that spark nostalgia, energy and whimsy.
Fleur also heads up LIDO LEONE, an emerging resortwear brand as co-founder and designer.
For corporate collaborations and custom commissions, Fleur welcomes inquiries from brands looking to elevate their products and marketing materials with distinctive, high-quality illustration.
